If you choose Jai, your son will be forever correcting people who call him Jye (sounds like eye with a "j" in front). If you want the name to be unique, try Jaye or if you are really wanting the Jai spelling, try Jaiden or Jaison and give him the nickname of Jai. Maybe then people will say it right. Either way, keep in mind that the name of your baby is YOUR decision, and don't take what other people say too seriously. Congratulations and good luck!!

Hi, Jai is often pronounced 'j-eye' where as Jay is pronounced Jay (as in the bird). One way to decide which name you like best is to shout out loud each name 10 times (because as a parent, you will be doing that from time to time!). If you still like the sound of it after shouting it, then that's the name you should choose!

Jai is actually pronounced J eye not J a So i would go with Jay.

I named my son Jaydee, i thought about this very same question too. Personally i like the Jay better but Jai isnt as popular
