If he were alive he would emphasize our right to overthrow a tyrant and I wager he'd be leading the torch-bearing mob to the White House as we speak . . .

Yeah one guy with a Brain and true knowledge of the meaning of our founding father Good ol' Thomas Jefferson a brilliant man and a Statesman not a Politician. Yes he would tell them to pack up their Viagra, their mistresses, and all that they can carry and head for the hills. A quote from him against France, "If they want a War We will accommodate them with War, Embargo On" ! The man knew where to hit them right in their pockets. But see so who is the enemy here? Yes the politicians they are our enemies they are using that strategy against their own people?
Which is worse, to die starving in the cold or to be gassed?
Either way they are destroying this country for which it stands, and is no longer one country under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All? It is a split country to be pieced together in banks by the foreigners, and yes Bush needs the money they are going to try and rule the world and that takes more than Billions he lost from his own endeavors before he entered the White House. But that was not his money either, he never earned a dollar of his own in his life. Look up his biz history? Many times has screwed the little people in Stock Market. After his Daddy tapped all phones using the excuse of Cartel money they were tapping for the control of the Stocks and they hit all the main families of the Mafia to become the Mafia with government backing Just like Frederic the Great?

If Jefferson were alive today he'd be a Libertarian not a Repugnant or a Demonut. He was fiscally conservative yet believed in personal freedom and the government staying out of peoples everday lives. That's exactly what Libertarians believe.

I think he would have a heart attack. He was a strong proponent of a small agriculturally based economy, a balanced budget, and strong checks and balances on the executive branch of government. We seem to have very little of these. He'd probably be labelled as unpatriotic by most Americans today.
On the other hand, he was also in favor of innovation, music, and science, so he'd probably find things like computers, MP3s, and space shuttles pretty nifty. This is assuming he were introduced to such things prior to his heart attack, of course.

The democratic party he formed then would be exactly like the libertarian party today. Not one promoting socialism and not one promoting democracy. Both have which led us down a very dangerous path of apathy and soon despotism if people do not wake up.

Thomas Jefferson was a great man. He had high expectations for the new nation. However, in his time he was not all that popular. Alexander Hamilton disagreed with him loudly and often. Jefferson was a man of compromise and reason, but he didn't always like it. However, I don't think he would have given up on our nation. It's still the best in the world.
