To me, negotiate is something like buying a pair of shoe.

Find the correct size, comfortable?
And talk about the price.

Negotiation is all about finding a balancing point for win win situation. And all parties are happy.

Most important, avoid one sided benefit talk.
Its a waste of time.

always offer/ negotiate half or 40% of the price stated ..
then the seller will be surprise & spontaneously offered u the lowest price he can offer.
