I am renting it just because it was apparently filmed really close to my city..any opinions on the film? (netflix reviews were actually pretty bad)

I liked it, because it was a good adaption of Kurt Vonnegut's novel, and that's right difficult to do. I reccommend to book to clarify the movie, but you should know it's mostly about insanity. Oh, and the old man, Kilgore Trout, is probably one of the most famous fictional authors ever.

Pulp Fiction (obvious).. He killed me in the final scene of Four Rooms.. I even liked the Whole 9 and 10 Yards because of him.. Ooooh... The Fifth Element. Did you know he was an extra in a Sinatra movie in 1980? Yep.
