the beast turned into a guy at the end of the first movie, why was he a beast in the second again? did i miss something?

in the second one, the beast was a human. Belle and the beast were telling a story about a xmas before he turned into a human

The second wasn't a chronological sequel. It was another movie, set in the middle of the first - so it was totally logical he was still a beast.

My dear, this is a fairy tale and it is easy to go from a beast to a man and back again just as easy as it is to kiss a frog and he becomes a Prince. They can do most every thing in a movie now days. So don't trouble your little head over it. Find a good book to read instead. Best wishes.

the sequel tells what happened when belle was staying at the castle while she was a prisoner of the beast.... it was BEFORE the beast turned into a human again.

There wasn't a sequel...there were a couple of movies set during the period of the first movie. I'm assuming you mean the Disney version.
