I've looked at this issue from all directions, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why George Bush and his Attorney General prosecuted this case!

It boggles the mind.

number one....Jawj dubbya and the AG didn't prosecute the case...
the underlings did..
and guess what..the border patrol agents still shot people....i must admit that I haven't read anything about this at all (since I live way up north) but shooting is shooting...if the law is right for you and me...then it's right for border patrol.
they are border patrol agents...not the judge and jury..

Because the agents shot the drug smuggler in the BACK! Then attempted to cover it up. How do you shoot someone in the BACK!!! and call it self defense? Why is that so hard to figure out?

Yeah, the drug smuggler is a scum bag but murdering a scum bag is still murder. This is a country of laws and if anyone should realize that its those we entrust with the authority to uphold the law.
