the only thing is did they reset the light when you had the last oil change.. if not the light will come on every 7500miles and will not go off until you reset it...this is the only reason for the maintenance light to come on...please read you owners manual for resetting the light...do not go to the dealership unless this is where the oil was changed. No need to worry this light will come on as I said every 7500 miles or before unless reset...

dont waste your time the oil light (maintenance required) was just not reset. Ok turn the key forward to the on position not run make sure the mileage not the trip is displayed. Then turn the key off again. Ok now find the trip button on the dash hold it in and then while holding it in turn the key forward to the on position (not starting it). While turning the key forward continue to hold the trip button down until the maint required blinks or the mileage will blink or display some dashes. Then you are good to go.

first question would be if it has 50-100 thousand miles on it. If so, it is emission maintenance and only a dealer can reset it. If not, then the dealer can tell you the sequence to shut it off.
Hubby says the light is emissions from the factory.

i own a repair shop and anything from the gas cap being left loose to a bad radiator cap can set the light on the newer ones ,I'm not kidding you ,a loose gas cap will set this light off.you can take it by auto zone or advance auto, and have them scan it and see if it brings up any trouble codes on it,this will help you in determining whats wrong with it,if anything is,a lot of times the light just goes off by is self, but they can do it free of charge,i know for sure auto zone does this,im not real sure about advance, someone said they was doing it also, good luck ,i hope this help,s.

Could be any one of a bunch of things such as ,dirty air filter, non functioning oxygen sensor, dirty injectors, etc. Take to the dealer and they will put a code reader on it and tell you exactly what is acting up .

Low oil level (could be a leak causing that)
