First, convert both numbers to improper fractions.
5/3 divided by 5/2
then you invert the 5/2 and multiply
5/3 times 2/5 gives you 10/15, or 2/3

turn the 1 into 3/3 so the numbers on the bottom, the denominators, are the same and the 2 into 4/2. 3/3+2/3 =5/3 and 4/2 +1/2=5/2. You don't have to divide them just gotta switch the dividing number 5/2 so 5/3 *'s 2/5 and it's 10/15 which is really 2/3.

The first thing you have to do is rewrite the two mixed fractions into improper fractions.

For the first mixed fraction, to find the numerator of the improper fraction, 1*3 +2 = 5. The denominator is 3 because that is given.

Do the same for the second mixed fraction. 2*2+1 = 5 is the numerator, and 2 is the denominator.

Rewritten, the question becomes, 5/3 divided by 5/2

When you divide fractions, the first thing to do, is leave the first fraction alone, and invert the seond one

to get: 5/3 and 2/5

now replace the divided by with a multiply by

The two fives cancel each other because 5 divided by 5 is 1, and you are left with 2/3.

unless you have parenthesis to denote which function to do first you always multiply or divide first then you add and subtract last. Then 2/3 divided by 2 = 2/6 + 1= 1 2/6 + 1/2 = 1 2/6 + 3/6 = 1 5/6.

1+2/3 = 3/3 +2/3 which is 5/3
2+1/2=4/2+1/2 which 5/2

5/3 : 5/2 = 5/3 x 2/5 which is 3/2 or 1.5
