No! The Saints did a bad job. No team can expect to turn the ball over so many times and still go to the Super Bowl. The Bears didn't make any mistakes and forced the Saints into fumbles and lots of dropped passes!

It was a mix. The Saints played terrible the first quarter, good the second and third quarters, and bad the fourth quarter. The Bears D played well all 4 quarters. That's what it comes down to.

The Saints had pulled to 14-18 when it started to snow. Then, their D gave up & their offense couldn't get anything going.

That's why Chicago won.

I don't know what idiot up there is saying that Brees threw so many interceptions. He threw one at the end of the game when he was trying to make something happen because the Saint's D let Chicago score so much. One does not equal "interceptions" -- I guess we can tell that SOMEONE didn't watch the game. There were 3 fumbles, though.

They would have won regardless of the calls, but do I think there were some iffy calls? Yes.

There was one fumble I saw where the guy's knee was blantantly down, and even the annoucers agreed .. as well as at half-time Jimmy Johnson brought it up. You know when the guys at half-time bring it up, you're having bad calls happening.

Not to mention several of the holding calls and face masks calls were bad. But would that have changed the outcome of the game?

Probably not, it's just how it happens sometimes. Refs are just people, and that's their job to ref. Do people screw up at work? All the time. So, I guess it's to be expected.

YES! too many calls were called against the Saints; but the Bears played a good game and there was too much money laid on the Saints by gamblers. So, there was no way that the Saints would've won today. No way! If people don't believe that sports have to do with money and gambling...just check out the Colts vs Patriots game, Patriots WILL cover their 3.5 spread (though this game is less lop-sided than the Saints vs Bears game).

Jukebox, I know you have your own opinion about the NFL not being rigged, but sports is not only about entertainment. Sports have to do a lot with money.

To the person below me: I woke up 4 years ago when I started to place bets on sports :-) I love football and I'm not saying that every game is fixed, but games can be controlled. BTW, right after I found out that most people were laying big money on the Saints, I KNEW they weren't going to win today.

Tiffani needs to wake up...the refs didn't give the game to the Bears...the Saints gave it to the Bears. It figures that people would come out saying that the game was rigged or the the refs were on the Bears side...come on. Anyone who watched the game could see why it turned out the way it did.

GO BEARS!!!

Yes but the Saints didn't play well either way. The fumble on the kickoff wasn't a fumble some of the Intentional Grounding calls I thought were question able. Even if some of the calls had gone the saints way they weren't playing well enough to win though.

My boys just didn't play well enough to win. Turned the ball over too many times. I'm not one to complain about the refs, so I'll leave it at that.

I hope this is the last we hear of idiots saying that the NFL was rigged this year for the Saints.

No - Drew Brees did a bad job of quarterbacking. And if someone couldn't see that, they had blinders on. His receivers constantly had to try to get back under the ball because of poor passes.

That's not the ref's fault.

Drew had a really stupid, boneheaded play in the end zone, causing a safety because he wasn't thinking.

That's not the ref's fault.

Drew threw interceptions.

That's not the ref's fault.

No, not at all. Every single call was legit. It just makes saints fans feel better to assume the game was fixed, rather then accept the fact they just played bad.

The classic excuse of a losing team's fan. Way to go.
