When we are in the super market and someone rams our ankle with a shopping
cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well,
it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?"

If you're hurt because of an accident, is it rational to declare it isn't an accident even though you know it likely is? And -- given this bit of self-deception -- are you now empowered to speak with contempt to the person who you know is unlikely to have no ill will toward you?

Or, can you muster the self-control to place this minor incident into a proper context?

I don't say alright, I glare at them and follow them then later on the other side of the store I go stand close to them and fart. That 's just my way of saying alright.

because it happens all of the time && if we just blew up in their face about it, everybody would walk around with black eyes, looking like racoons. now, how attractive would that be? =)
