I'm pregnant by choice. I prefer the father to remain anonoymous with no parental rights. How can I legalize a contract? During the birth, is it a problem not having the biological father on my child's birth certificate?

Anything you would have him sign can't really stick. A person is allowed to cahnge their mind and fight for their own children.

But - in regards to having the father's name on the birth certificate -typicallly, the ONLY way that the father's name will be on the birth certificate is if you were married - or if the father signed an affidavit of paternity claiming that he is in fact the father. A single woman can't just put who she claims the father is on there.

Go to the lawyer for the contract, they will have them available for it.

But realize he has to be on the same page as you for all this and to sign it. and if he signs it, you cannot ask for any support from him, just as he cannot make claims for rights to the child. Otherwise, if he doesn't sign it, you are in for a battle.

and no, his name doesn't have to be on the birth certificate.

goodluck.

there are obviously some very good reasons why you would choose this route.i would go to a lawyer and no his name does not have to be on the baby's birth certificate.

just because you are the one who is pregnant it does not mean that whatever you say goes. you can't shut the father out of the baby's life if he wants to be part of it, the baby is his too. you would have to go to court and have him sign over his rights.
