I started using vasaline as a facial sunscreen 2 weeks ago. (having previously always used regular sunscreen). Valesaline definitely prevents the skin from drying up in the sun. It gives a little itch. Definitely offers some protection. Don't feel burnt at the end of the day. Makes the city grime stick to your face but is easily washed of at the end of the day. I'm converted because the other conventional sunscreen often contains alcohol. That dries my skin.

vaseline is a mineral, so it never goes bad, but having it out for a long time can make the water set out if you have the cheap kind.

well yes they usually have an expiry date on the bottom of the container. but their are no real sign's that it goes bad, just don't use it past the date it says.

im pretty sure it doesnt..tho if you hav it for like 20 years or something it might dry up...
