Absolutely untrue. Indeed it is oftentimes the very opposite of ignorance - where the person sees the true nature of a bad situation - that triggers anger over that thing while the truly ignorant stand by oblivious - which is a good demonstration of that old saying "ignorance is bliss"
The matter of ignorance or wisdom enters the picture when we talk about the way in which that person's anger manifests itself, which is a very different issue. The anger of ignorance is misdirected self dislike. The anger of a sensible, intelligent, "balanced" individual is going to be the anger that comes from knowing that a wrong has been done, and he will seek to right it through appropriate and acceptable channels whereas the ignorant person - frustrated even more by his ignorance, vents his rage always unwisely, always inappropriately, and always directed at the wrong target.

Ignorance and anger are not a good combination. My opinion is that expressing anger has to do with how the person was raised and how this person learned to channel or express anger. Depending on how the person learned to express his/herself, so will be their expression. Civilized, tamed manners= educated. Ignorant, rude, loud manners= uneducated, bully or not educated in coveying anger and/or frustration at home.
Just my opinion. It's really disgusting to see how awkwardly so many people express their anger. Like there's not a whole lot of good- mannered people out there anymore. Why do I say this? Aren't some of you shocked when people hold or open the door for you at times? I am? I once ran and held the door for this very old man until he eventually walked through it. He then said to me: "Thanks, I didn't think you would wait". I said: "it was my pleasure".

I don't believe that anger is caused by ignorance. There are just some things that deserve anger. It's OK to be angry but, not to carry out a wrong action because of it.
