fresher air, why dont they all p**s off out of the pubs this summer !!

i smoke but don't drink and i am fed up of all the non smoking whiners. they have to cope with pollution, exhaust fumes etc but they pick on smokers because they can as a people. they cannot pick on pollution etc. in pubs approx 80% of drinkers are smokers, they go together like bacon and eggs. if smoking is going to be banned from pubs then the smokers will just buy their booze and take it home and smoke in their own comfort surroundings. which leaves 20% of non smokers in pubs. eventually the landlord cannot run a business on the small amount of non smokers left and the pubs will start closing down. the landlords rely on the drinkers that smoke as they are the best customers. watch this space......

Here here.... I'm dreading this summer. I run a pub and although we're taking every step to ensure that the people who do smoke are comfortable outside (Awning, heat lams, wall ashtrays etc) we're still gonna lose a lot of custom. Its also gonna be really hard (especially in my pub) to make enforce the ban... it's hard enough trying to run a drug free pub!
People nowadays are more likely to go to the supermarket for their alcohol and stay in on a sat night than years ago so surely we should be encouraging people to get out and be in the pubs for the sake of economy rather than giving them another reason to stay in?!
I know it has worked successfully in other places but A lot of pubs are still gonna fall by the wayside after this summer.
Has the labour government just killed our pubs?
I only hope that I'm wrong.

They don't want fresher air, they just want air that isn't full of toxic chemicals (which if you live in London rules out going outside too!)

Did you know its not the smoking that makes you ill? It's having to stand outside nowadays in the bloody freezing weather!

Its ppls choice to be able to go to pub and not have to get sick from disrespectful people who dont care about others what makes you think your so special others should have to leave so you can pollute the air and others lungs you have issues man

i guess i'm a hypocrite but when i smoke (cigs or herb) i couldn't care less about what non-smokers want but when i'm not smoking, i'd rather have fresh air instead of a cloudy haze.
