I have an avarage IQ, but can be extremely hard working and devoted when I want to be, can I cut it?

doctors tend to be a little dumb. they test you for things you dont have so they can get your money.

No. You just have to be dedicated because it takes a long time. You do need a good memory. You have to study a lot.

* I hate it when I answer a question and then look at the rest of the answers and see someone has said the same thing I did before I said it*

Do you have to be super smart? Evidently not. My son's pediatrician told me to dope my kid up with meds at bedtime and have two glasses of wine. She knows I breastfeed and that I take meds for depression. Is she trying to kill us both or is she just not real smart. I also told her four times I am NOT letting my son "cry it out" yet she keeps giving me that advice over and over and over...

If you're at least as smart as her, then I say you're plenty smart enough to be a doctor. The real question is, do you want it enough to put up with all the schooling, not to mention the tuition...

The dedication is very important. There is a lot of math and science. Long hours and hard work. If you're up to that, go for it.

nope, some of the dumbest people i know are doctors...they're just more driven than the average person since it takes about 14 years to become one...if it's your dream then go for it!

yes you can you have to be dedicated and do lots of studying remember as a doctor you are studying and practicing medicine so it is ongoing never ending studying
