Most conventional oils out there today are group II base stock....
shells is group II+ (pennzoil for example) what wally worlds synthetic is..... is a highly refined group II.... and is now called group III....
Group III is a good oil... its not TRUE synthetic, but the only reason it can call itself that..... is because of castrol.
Walmarts oil is either made by warren, exxon mobil or pennzoil.

From everything I have read, learned and personally experienced, the synthetic oil will be a superior product to use for your engine. It saved my dads engine when my mom drove his new truck from Calif. to Reno during a storm and did not stop to check the oil warning light. By time she was home safe, there was no oil left. The synthetic he said saved the engine, did not burn up, kept parts lubed. Also, they say you don't have to change the oil as often which makes up for some of the additional expense to purchase the synthetic.
Hope that helps.

I'd say it's probably fine. Walmart doesn't make oil, synthetic or otherwise. Most likely they get another synthetic and brand it as Walmart. And synthethic generally has superior qualities to regular oil, so if you're willing to pay the price premium, go for it.

Synthetic is better, yes.
I don't know about Wal-Mart synthetic, that is most likely a 50/50 blend of synthetic and regular, but it's still better, yes.

I have used synthectic oil for many years however i treat my car with the utmost care asI use only Mobil 1. There is nothing better than Mobil and your engine will last for at least 200,000 miles. I currently have 128,000 on my car now and it runs perfectly. The oil looks like a new engine. I change mine every 3,000 miles.
So take good care of it and it will do you much good.

I've driven on Mobil 1 for over a million miles since the 70s, and have never worn out an engine. Something else has always gone first.
