I think if they keep thier young team keep Delmon Young he is going to kick everyones ***. Unlike you Yankees fan we D-rays fans arent bandwagoners. Most of you yankees fans cannot name a single player besides Jeter and A-Rod. Delmon Young will be better than both of them, and if they keep Carl Crawford and keep Rocco Baldielli and get some good pitching then the d-rays will rule the MLB. Also we got the most underrated 2ndbaseman in Jorge Cantu also johnny gomes is good. also 3rd baseman BJ Upton has a lot of potenial. Best of all Scott Kazmir is a cy young in the making he will be greater than Johan Santana and Curt Schilling combined.

They certainly have a long way to go. Frankly I don't think they get the support needed in the franchise's present location to create the revenue it would take to build a viable playoff caliber team. That ballpark is so out of the way it takes hours for people to drive there.

There has been talk of moving the franchise to Orlando or close to Orlando. The thought is that it would help sell tickets and create better interest in the team.

To answer your question, yes, I think it's possible for any major league team to win the world series but it's takes a great deal of work. The Yankees are committed to winning and do all the right things to assure that they are in the championship hunt each year. Most franchises haven't learned how to do that. When they do, the Devil Rays included, they too will enjoy the same success as the Yankees.

Wow, what a day. A Devil Rays fan taking on the entire Yankee nation. I gotta give you props and you are right D-rays have a lot of good young players. Is Delmon Young going to hit 500 home runs in his career? No, so he will never be better then A-rod. Will Delmon Young ever help the D-rays win 4 rings? No, so he will never be better then Jeter. Delmon Young will be a very good player but come on man, how can you compare him to Jeter and A-rod. Only players you mentioned who are proven players are Crawford and Kazmir. But Kazmir better then Santana, you must have been in a cave the last 3 years, this guy is absolutely dominating the American League. Kazmir could be a Cy Young candidate someday but until then their is no comparison with him and Santana other then they both throw left handed.
I admire your courage but your arguement is going nowhere.

Yes they could defenitely win the World Series some time soon.I couldn't agree with you more about the amazing and underrated players on the D-Ray's.They have proven that spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a team doesn't garauntee a spot in the playoffs every single year.Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Delmon Young throw a bat an umpire? That doesn't seem like he's mature and if he continues to act like a two year old then he'll be nowhere as good as DJ,A-Rod,or Phil Rizzutto.Did you know A-Rod sees four Psychiatrists?Us yankee fans know more names of the players on the yankees then just A-Rod and Derek Sanderson Jeter like Bobby Abreu,Jorge Posada,Andy Pettite,Miguel Cairo,Robinson Cano,Johnny Damon,Hideki Matsui (AKA Godzilla),Jason Giambi,Mike Mussina,Chien Ming Wang from Taiwan,Mariano Rivera he's from Panama by the way.His neice and Aunt were killed in a pool in their backyard and were electricuted. You see I know a lot about the yankees and this is off the top of my head.Elston Howard was the first African American to play for the yankees just so you know.

I agree the Rays have some potential, Florida does seem to be a hot spot for recruiting baseball talent. Right now the rays are in a tough division and should just try and keep building the team that they have. Once they have a really good first half, then maybe try and add a veteran or two to make a playoff push. Lastly, if we don't put a salary cap on team's players salaries then the AL east will continue to have New York and Boston finish 1 and 2.

i have been a yankee fan since i was born and unlike common belief, though there are many bandwagon jumpers, most fans are dedicated. the d-rays will never win without increasing payroll. its proven that you dont need payrolls like the yankees, but you have to be able to spend some money in an offseason and buy some pitchers. kazmir is good, but hes only one pitcher and you have no bullpen or other starters. just be thankful that the yankees bring you more fans then the rest of your year combined so you are able to keep some of your players like crawford.

I think that you've been out in the sun too long. Bandwagoner fans huh? If being a true fan means the ability to name more than Jeter and A-Rod then well.... again you've been out in the sun too long and if you're in the north, then I would have to say that you're suffering from brain freeze or even a brain fart... however there are many Yankee fans here who could probably name more past and present players in just the past 50 years of NY baseball tradition than the D Rays have had in the entire franchise's history, without having to resort to references.

You don't have to be a yankees fan to answer this question for the Devil Rays or any other franchise.

The saying in baseball is that if you promote your best prospects, almost at the same time, and allow them to continue to develop together at the major league level, they can win it all for you in a few years time.

However, you do need more than 1 pitcher.

This is baseball , anything can happen if the stars fall your way.

Did you ever imagine the Marlins winning 2 World Series with the teams that they had in a division that had the dominant Braves?

If they can do it so can the Devil Rays. The sun will shine on them at some point.

The Devil Rays will never win! And how can you say most people can't name the players for the Yankees? Do you know a ton of baseball fans? I can personally tell you that my friends and I can name EVERY Yankees player both past and present.
