you can't get him to change his mind on music but you can tell him that like everything else in marriage, music will be a 50/50 deal. my husband is like that too...in the car driver chooses, in the house we trade back and forth. We just don't turn it up and torture the other. We both like classic rock and most of the time that is what we put on.

My husband and I are polar opposites when it comes to music. We agree to disagree and don't listen to any at all together. Sometimes when we're in the car I will turn on my stuff just so there's not dead silence though.

My ex was the same way. He was a control freak. But if the music just drives him nuts then there's not much you can do about it. My hubby doesn't like heavy metal, but I listen to it. He at least puts up with it.

were butholes we always want compromise and understanding and for you to try new things what I did was once a day I would play something she likes on long trips I make sure I play at least one type she likes its a process don't try to get us to listen to the whole CD and let him know he doesn't have to like it just listen one song at a time, and if it that serious to you every time you play one of the songs give him a happy ending if you know what I mean unless its gospel we are suckers for oral and do almost anything to get it

You SHOULD have thought about this BEFORE you got married. He is entitled to enjoy the kinds of music HE prefers. If you can't live with it then why did you marry him?

You cant change him hon the only one you have power to change at all is you yourself... Love him where he is at and listen to your own music on your own time. I dont try to make my husband do anything... I let him be who he is and he lets me be who I am and it is great!
