Because "hoe" is a derogatory term. Although some women behave ho-ish, the majority of us don't. There is a double standard there, but it's not what you think. If a man is in a relationship and happy, and flirts with other women, he's considered a pimp and it's looked upon as a good thing. If a woman does the same, she's considered trampy or ho-ish. Doesn't sound fair to me.
