My friend is getting a new video card and is getting rid of his video card and he has a dell. Can i use that video card on my computer (a compaq)?

yah you should have no problem just make sure you have the right slot it requires( PCIe, AGP,PCI) and make sure its compatible with your version of windows.

As long as your motherboard and his card are the same bus type It will work for you. Either PCI, AGP or PCIe.

Computers have different slots for video cards.
AGP
PCI
PCI-Express
As logn as it is the card matches the slot you have, there should be no problem.
