i have a 60gb ps3 and i love it. it has very good the games have good detail i use it have a blueray disk player i have played a xbox 360 and the detail is not as good as the ps3 but u can only rilly enjoy eather one with out a hdtv the xbox 360 hd res is only 730i and the ps3 is much higher at 1080p and the ps3 has a hdmi and fiberopic canections the controler is moshion sensative and its bluetooth u can hook up a bluetooth head set hookup a psp u can store music and vids on the hard drive the 60gb has memery card sd memery stick compact flash etc... slots i think the ps3 is rilly worth the money i think it is by far the best videogame system ever made

I must say that it rocks. Aside from coasting less than a normal blueray player, it's got enough features to be worth the $600. Let me describe the platinum version. It's very shiny. The on/off buttons are not buttons at all (you just touch them). It has a 60Gb hard disk drive. It has a wireless card. It has a blueray player. It can be viewed in full high definition using a DVI cable. The controller has an on/off button (yes it's a button). The controller has motion sensing technology. The second shoulder buttons are like pressure sensitive levers (mainly for racing games). It has top-of-the-line graphics. The controller is wireless. It has a web browser. It has a music player. It's very shiny.

I personally don't think the PS3 is worth that money (based on a game point of view)... I suppose with all the media features (like Blu-RAY) it would be a really cheap blue ray player. But seriously, I'm not coughing up 600 bucks for any game system, not including games etc. I could by a plane ticket for that much.

But my friend who has one says its 'fricken awesome'. Because of graphics and stuff like that. It also doesn't overheat, contrary to rumours.

I played it a few times, it's a very impressive system. Just too expensive.

Wait until the price comes down, developers get a better idea of the system's capabilities, and better games come out.

Right now, you'll be paying way too much money for way too few good games.
