We have 3 accts: 1 we share, and all of our necessities come out of it: mortgage, cable, cell, heating bill, water bill, etc.
We do direct deposit into this acct ev. month for a set amt.
Then we each have a separate acct for "fun stuff" so we can make our own $ decisions/surprise each other/etc. :)
We also have separate savings.

Have you all ever heard of a Bi-Weekly Payment Calculator?
You can find on on Google.com.
This is a way to pay the mortgage EQUALLY and also save money on the life of your fixed mortgage, and if you ever break up, then you were EQUALLY invested in the home, likely your greatest asset.
If you enter the rate, the years and the payment, the calculator will show you how much you will save--up to 7 years on a 30 year mortgage!
Try it!
If the payment is one thousand, then you all pay 500 on the first of the month and 500 on the 15th of the month, and the difference int he interest in those 2 weeks over 12 months and then over many years will work out to a savings that is one of the best kept secrets to mortgage holders!!!
Try it, and talk it over, you may be glad you did.
Good Luck--hope it helps a little bit!

I feel that one person should pay the bills and if both people are working then the one should give the other money to pay their end of the bills... If it is the husbands place to pay the mortgage and he is doing the bills then it is the wifes place to give him the money for the utilities if that is what is agreed upon... My husband pays the bills and i let him do so:) We share an account and everything and it works out great that way for us. What works for you and your marriage is best.

I think any method can work, although having joint accounts seems to be the more common way of handling things. We got married last Sep., and still haven't combined our accounts, although we're planning to. Meanwhile, my husband pays all the bills, and I pay for stuff that I buy like groceries or clothes. We don't worry about who pays what, since eventually everything will be combined together, we've just been procrastinating.

I am in the same boat as you!
Separate all the way!
My hubby likes to spend lotsa $$ so let him pay for the bills
HO insurance and taxes.
I will pay the mortgage and the house will be in my name.
I like to save and invest so the house is my investment.
We will split the bills for the kids and the pets.

We have a fully joint account. Any $ I make goes in there, and any $ he makes goes in it too. We pay the bills, then save a little for a rainy day, then whatever is left over is ours to spend as we see fit.

Open a joint checking account, and every payday deposit money into that account to pay household bills, but keep everything else separate.

She has a husband, boyfriend and you as a boy-toy. She isn't dedicated and he or she is a cheater. She is cheating on no longer purely her husband, yet her boyfriend too...which i did no longer think of everyone could droop that low...yet howdy she is the silly one. although, each and every time you have self assurance her and take her returned, the greater you will injury the subsequent time and the greater ridiculous you seek for putting your self up. you will purely have your self in charge in case you proceed this relationship and get your coronary heart broken returned. i could propose listening to your head and your coronary heart will forgive you later.
