My wife has an eviction on her credit history and we're looking for a place to live. Is there something that can be done to get that eviction off her credit history or to make it look better so we can find a decent apartment?

you can try disputing it...you can dispute anything whether or not it's accurate. it's a trick of the trade.if the company that placed it there doesn't respond within 30 days then that information will be removed from the record. (this option will not work for you if you or your wife has ever made a payment on what was owed.)

if not, it takes 7 years for it to drop off your record.

(edit: you also can reduce some of the negativity by paying it off, which would also reflect as debt paid on your credit report. some rental management companies will reduce the amount owed if you agree to pay a lump sum.)

however, a growing number of complexes will allow 1 person to be on the lease (income qualifying and responsibility all goes to that person) and the other to just be listed as residing in the apartment.

check with promove.com, an apartment finders service that is terrific and Free to use. they know the properties and neighborhoods intimately and would be of great help to anyone.

till the guy who mentioned that's prepared to have it thoroughly bumped off it extremely is going to purely instruct paid. that's clever to study ninety days after incident to make helpful reporting is precise. After 7 years detrimental information will come off, 10 years for financial ruin, fits and so on
