If you look at the left hand circle, you will see a Pyramid. This pyramid was not a part of the proposals for the Great Seal until the third committee, and it was not suggested by Jefferson, Franklin, and Adams. Notice the face is lighted and the western side is dark. Although there is no "official" explanation for the shading, some interpret it as a reflection that our country was just beginning and had not begun to explore the West or decided what we could do for Western Civilization.
The Pyramid is UN-capped, which may signify that our country was not yet finished. The unfinished state of the pyramid was intentional, and Charles Thompson, in his remarks to congress about the symbolism on the Great Seal, said the pyramid represented "Strength and Duration." Inside the capstone you have the all-seeing eye, and ancient symbol for divinity. Although Franklin's committee did not suggest a pyramid, it did originate the suggestion of the eye. However, the term "the all-seeing eye" was never officially used when describing it. The Franklin committee wanted the seal to include a reflection of divine providence and discussed a variety of themes including the Children of Israel in the Wilderness.

That's a great question. The pyramid on the Dollar is what is known as a "Masonic" symbol. The Masons are difficult to define without sounding negative. But regardless they have had a hand in the founding of our country (George Washington and many of the other founding fathers were Masons). The reason the Pyramid is a masonic symbol is due to the origin of the Masons themselves. They claim that the organization has its roots in a secret society formed by Jewish slaves who built the pyramids of Egypt. They wore aprons and carried trowels. To this day, modern Masons all own (and wear on certain occassions) aprons and they carry trowels.
Generally, Masons are wonderful people. They raise money for hospitals, children's programs, burn centers, and many other charities. But, they are a "racist" organization (they do not admit blacks into their group). There are; however, african-american Masonic groups that do not admit whites. They do admit other "minorites" (jews, asians, hispanics for example are admitted into some Masonic organizations).

It has to do with the underground society the freemasons.
The latin words over the pyramid "Annuit Coeptis" means He has given approval to our undertakings. and the words under the pyramid "Novus Ordo Seclorum" means "New Order of the Ages was the beginning of this new spirit."
At the time when money was made the freemason controlled politics and influence of society.
The pyramid with the all seeing eyes is one of the symbols of freemasonry.
I have added links for your information, in case you are doing some kind of research. You could google pyramid and the dollar bill to find a little more about it.

Yes the pyramid stands for power, really the Egyptians of today have very little to do with the pyramids either. The United States is really the result of some ancient Pharaoh's coming back to life to rule from this new land. Thus the movie, The Mummy and the Return of the Mummy are both modern day films educating the American public on the power of the lost Egyptian civilization ruled by the great Pharaoh's who were actually positions of power supported by space aliens. You don't really think that these giant buildings of stone actually got there by slaves dragging rocks into place do you? Alien space craft lifted the rocks into the positions that they still sit in to this day complete with hidden chambers and booby traps to ward off tomb raiders like Harrison Ford.

Well there is a lot of debate about this topic.... Some people say that our founding fathers were free masons (a lot of them are) and that the pyramid is part of their symbols and agendas.. others believe that is had to do with the fact that pyrimids stood the test of time and that s why it was put on the back of the bill. There are MANY MANY mason references..

Was that a sarcastic question? Read all about the Novus Ordo Seclorum. The secret is the pyramid and the master is the all-seeing-eye. It talks about stuff like that. I actually wouldn't recommend getting into researching "free-masonry". I did, and I regret knowing some of the strange theories or conspiracies governments carry.

Look up the picture of the pyramid of 'manipulation' here:
http://www.gnosticliberationfront.com/there_is_no_world_conspiracy.htm
Put some research into freemasonry.. Even though your average freemason will deny it completely (Most don't have a clue anyways). George Washington & the majority of US presidents have been freemasons.. (Not Dubya or Bush Sr mind.. they were members of the 'Order of Death' better known as the Skull and Bones elite society at Yale).
The pyramid is a masonic symbol (Triangles/pyramids are important to them if we look at the 'star of David' we see today [If folded it almost makes a pyramid with a hexagonal base], few jews even know that it was the family symbol of the Rothschilds, an elite family positioning high in the rankings of secret societies, and their descendants are running almost 80% of the worlds banks- NOT your average jew, as is the regular ignorant view -I'm definitely not racist btw, there is a great difference between International banker 'Jews' and day-to-day normal jews- they stand for almost opposite values, and the internationals have no regard for G-d.. I'm also not hateful hehe).
The 'all seeing eye' is a representation of Isis the egyption god, another symbol used by the masons. There are also ties to it saying New World Order (New order of the Ages), and paganism/satanism (sun/light worship). These symbols and the people following them date from ancient Egypt and to Babylonia, where their royal families established these special societies so their bloodlines would remain in control of the world for all time. Only the few at the top know the entire story mind..
They know alot more than we could ever know, but one idea is that they created religion as a means to brainwash and control the masses (as none of them directly oppose the government/leadership of a country in their teachings- they promote conservative thought and people naturally fear change too -this makes people fearful of revolutions).
Look at religion and how they all pop up in the same distant era, all seemingly unrelated but with numerous coincidental teachings/unlerlying themes. Even the story of Jesus might have been manufactured by them, as there are instances through history where similar 'religious stories' have been recorded, Virgin mother and special baby has been used at least 3 times in history, in DIFFERENT times/places/scenarios. Only the ones at the very top of the religious institutions know the 'truth' of the matter. They possess the 'secret doctrines/teachings'.
I may well be wrong on this religion part and I apologise if I've offended anyone, but remember how all religions have been sponsered and supported by the governments throughout history, the King James Version of the Bible for example...
The corners of the pyramid represents eschalons, the higher up you go, the more you know/more power you have over the rest until you get to right up the top where there is a tiny elite controlling everything (the top of the pyramid being separate means the leaders recieve instructions from their 'Architect'- often interpreted as being Satan).
The bloodlines mentioned earlier are the ones predominant at the high eschalons of the system, they have run apparantly since Babylon, led the armies throughout Greece & Rome, and have been manifest into the 'Royal' bloodline from the Knights Templar. Starting I think, with William of Orange, every member of royalty alive or has been for the last 500 years is related to him.
Most freemasons find they get to a certain level and cannot advance any farther, they are tested by their 'Worshipful masters' and if they truely believe the ends justify the means (in ruthless fashon) then they will advance through the society, if not they will stay at the same level.
The vast majority of freemasons are good honest folk, who do charity work and the like (it's encouraged-as any secret society would do, it gives a positive public appearance), but as you get to the higher, more elite secretive levels you must swear oaths (such as on your life or at risk of torture etc) that you won't reveal their secrets. That's when it starts getting sinister.
1 in 3 members of Scotland Yard were at 1 point believed to be freemasons, and most government building have masonic lodge/temples installed.
Most barristers and judges come from masonic backgrounds too. They all stick together (by oath) and cover up for eachother.
It's an utterly complex, almost incomprehensable society, with millions of members (99% of which being white males) and more power than you could imagine. It ties in with oh so many businesses, government agencies, law enforcement agencies and the like. Nobody even knows who are in the very top eschalons of the society today, they remain very much undercover.
Famous freemasons:
http://www.masonicinfo.com/famous1.htm
Want a headfuk? Some believe these bloodlines I mentioned to be reptillian 'shapeshifters'/'humanoids', who are aggressive angry and hateful, that they survived and evolved from the dinosaurs. That they are more 'dominant' to the human species and require to drink virgins menstural blood as a sort of 'life force'. (That is apparantly what true 'ambrosia' is). They are the ones at the very top and rarely reveal themelves, other than to other top ranking bloodlines.
I don't really buy into the reptillian bit, but the rest is feasable..
I swear you should look this stuff up! Read as much as you can... It's fascinating to contemplate.
