I wish I was. Why do I have to think so much? I keep thinking about the tough questions all the time and can't stop myself: "Is there a God or divine plan?", "Why am I going to work today if the Earth is just going to wind up being a smoldering rock after the sun dies?", "How can I believe in this ridiculously old holy book with it's primitive language and complete lack of logical support?", "How am I supposed to have fun if I can't stop thinking?", etc, etc, etc....
Sometimes I wish I were a moron, then I could be perfectly happy with being selfish, stupid, and drunk all the time. Otherwise, there are too many unanswerable questions. What the hell do I do about this problem?
P.S. feel free to call me a moron in your answers, it will help me feel better.

hahaha ahh man i appreciate you. There are few things that could actually give me more joy than my reading what you wrote here. haha you are a good man. As a friend by relativity i will say unto you that you can definitely find happiness without being a moron. I think you will achieve a high quality happiness in this way as well. I know I don't think myself to be a moron and I can really feel you on your maddness displayed, but I feel rediculously happy nearly all day every day for about one and a half years now. I think it might have come from finding some of the right people to teach me, meditating, maybe a book or two, and flat out time. Good luck man, and depending on your way of looking at it, I hope you get to become a moron like me, or finally get beyond being a moron as i have!

I'm sure to many people I am a moron, but it usually works out the other way around, and they are the morons. WHat you do with the problem is learn to relax. It helps a great deal if you can identify an list what is important to you, in order of preference, That lays down where you are coming from, now you can decide where you are going.

um those questions sound more like a "i wish i wasn't christian" no I wish I were a moron. Your sound more lost at fate then wishing for stupidity. You may say you want to be a moron and not to be cocky, but I know you don't. With knowledge comes power, and with that power come pain and pleasure... but more so the pain. The thing is that most people of this worl dont want to accept a lot of things, especially things that are "diffrenent". Do you really wish you were another mindless zombie walking around, conforming to society, doing what ever people say.. even if you know it will detroy a life? Or are you already one of those people.

OTHER old holy books may have more answers for you... One says: In order to be truly happy in this world, you must either be extremely ignorant (a moron) or enlightened.
Clearly you are not a moron, or you would already be self-satisfied and happy. Therefore, your only option is to seek enlightenment.
Look to the east--- Religion has few answers; spirituality has many.

Yes I have wished that myself many times. Mostly because i could not delude myself about MYSELF. I can rationalize nearly anything and be very convincing. Make all manner of very plausible excuses for any and all shortcomings. But I would always short circuit my rationalizing because I could not fool myself.
As for the old books. Couldn't fool myself there either. Had to give it up. On the up side I felt less foolish having done so.

I know what you mean - morons don't even know they're morons, and they're the happiest people on Earth because they don't have to think about things.
But I'll stick with my intelligence anyways.
