Just dress like you're going to church. And *DO NOT* wear white!!!

A knee-length, black background, small print design sheath dress will always look classy. It can be really dressed up, if need be, with jewelry. Black pumps for day, black strappy high-heeled sandals for evening. I went to a 6PM wedding with a black dress with small white polka dots and my boyfriend said I never looked so beautiful! Do you have a mother or sisters you could ask to go with you to try on dresses and get their opinions? Just don't forget to have a good time!

You have to take a lot into consideration...like, what kind of people they are. When my cousin got married, it was in October, outside, and people WORE JEANS. EEK. I was mortified and made it CLEAR that my mom would stand "guard" at the church doors and make sure no one got into my wedding in jeans! (she did a good job at it too!!)...so I think it would be best to ask your friend her advice unless you know the people getting married and their families. (because some families just feel like it's OK to wear sweats to weddings...and you don't want to wear sweats OR appear over-dressed, right!?)

Whatever you do -DON'T WEAR White, Black or Red in any solid color form! Don't show too much clevage or wear anything tight. You don't want to draw dirty looks from the brides family and friends. Warm colors are the safest. Dress like you're going to church.
