About $9 Billion a month, I believe. I hear tell it might reach a trillion before it's all over.

UH Caninelegion? Even if the US were to stick it out and avoid, as you say, a large scale war in the region, how exactly do you think you erase the billions ALREADY spent on the war over the past 4 years???

I am glad you asked. Former President Clinton once said-- for the price of one airplane alone-- we could have fed millions of hungry children (=something similar), thus this answers your question indirectly. Wars cost money and a great deal of it. True to the fact governments do not make decisions on dollar figures alone. Conclusion--even if I put the figure of a billion dollar a month -- I would not know its real meaning and what that money could buy "otherwise". For sure it could not buy security -- and that is why there is a war. I rest my case, how about yours?

Over $100 billion dollars and still growing.

Military spends 52 billion dollars a year.

The next five years it will cost well over 245 billion dollars. This is not counting the reconstruct that will take place after the war.

If we continue to back the Iraqi Republic, then the cost will most likely be zero or lower by avoiding a large scale war in the region and calming down the real enemies: radical Islam.

Forget about money - it's cost the American people their good reputation.

People around the world used to look to the USA for leadership - now you're just hated as war mongers who invade other countries for no valid reasons.

It will take years and years to regain your reputation - and money can't buy that.

25 US Soldiers died today....Look what it just cost their families.....People are watching the playoffs enjoying the day, and the phone was ringing at those soldiers homes, with the worst news possible.....What it's costing taxpayers.....It just cost 25 lives to be forever gone....that is too much right there.....
