Your circumstance is part of your destiny, every choice you made and are going to make is part of your destiny.

From the view of our own mind we may see our selves as having free-will but this really is an illusion for the choice we made was nothing more than part of our destiny.

I have tried all of my life to control my destiny.
So far, circumstances seem to be the obstacle of my controlled destiny.
As much as I have tried to control my destiny I have achieved very little. Maybe it is the true meaning of destiny.
Control and destiny are two words which do not seem to go together in the same sentence in my life.
I believe if a person thought "no matter the circumstance" , that would lead to a very isolated and antisocial life style. After all human do require interdependence, as much as a human could strive to disassociate to achieve their destiny. It appears to me, no matter the circumstance is quite a ruthless pursuit, but it is achievable. So personally I do not control my own destiny no matter the circumstance, nor do I think I wish too try anymore.
Good Luck in your pursuit of answers.

No, you don't really control your own destiny. According to Einstein's theory of Special Relativity, everything in time is true for all time. Even the laws of quantum mechanics appear to be very deterministic. So, scientifically speaking, what happens to you in the future has already happened, relative to, say, an alien travelling on a planet billions of light years away, and if you could work out the equations for every single particle in the universe, you would be able to calculate exactly what it's going to look like in the far distant future. So, your destiny is written into spacetime, and while you have the illusion of choice and free will, you almost certainly son't. That's scientifically speaking, though. It depends if you believe in other things.

Depends on who you are and how you think. If you are a traditionalist and totally believe in God you probably believe that your life is set out for you and you follow a path that is pre-ordained where youhave some choice, but the end result is already determined.
If you are an extentialist you believe that there is no such thing as fate. Everything you do is by your own choice. Put in any situation you will make your own decision and follow your own mind. There is no such thing as destiny, you make your life, you make your own person. Choice is yours.

Life is about choices and changes, however we control just a part of it, other people that cross your path can create a change in your destiny, then you in turn influence theirs. Your parents genetics play a part in this as well, you are given from them what you have, so perhaps you are fulfilling their destiny as well. Isn't it interesting the word "destiny" has the word "tiny" in it. Perhaps there lies your answer, we are just a speck of dust in the order of things.

I think you do. Look at it this way. Imagine your "destiny" is to be rich, but you decide to be a bum, do you think you are going to be rich? On the other hand, if you take some action, you probably will get rich, and create your own destiny.

Life seems like a big battle to be God, to be worshiped. To make this world "yours" and others apart of "your world". Its like, who do we bow down to in life, not in a religious sense, more like through our actions who or what do we bow down to? Who has the most influence on your destiny? The Government? Money? Family? DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE THE MOST CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE???? IF NOT WHO DOES??? and how does one attain the most control of one's life????

If you believe in reincarnation, then you have chosen to experience a particular set of circumstances in this life.

Not totally, no, but I do believe that if I don't like something about my life or the direction its going, it's up to me to act, to choose, to do SOMETHING to change that, instead of just crying in my beer.

There are a million other factors that may act against (or for) my decisions; I cannot know what they are.

There will always be "other factors" in life.

We just make our decisions, believe in them and go with them.

I don't believe in destiny. I do believe that we follow our own paths whether consciously or not.
