You might want to check the master cylinder. If it leaks bleeding the brakes will not help.

the power booster may be bad.. Costs around $180 new but can be nought at any junk yard for around $50. Also could be a simple vacuum line off or possible leaking.. The vacuum line should come from the lower side of your carb and go to the master cyclinder or connect near where you put ing the brake fluid. Good luck..be careful.

i own a repair shop, and usually when they do this its one of two things either the master cylinder,or the abs pump,if it has anti lock brakes,,and id say it probably does,,this is a complicated system, and requires a special bleeding process for getting them right, you might want to have them checked out by a good brake mechanic ,just to see if they can offer any better advice,,two or three opinions ,are better than one,but id get them looked at,,it sounds like it might be a little dangerous to drive like that,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

You need to be sure the brakes are properly bled out. If they are you will find the self adjusters on the rear brakes are not functioning. You can adjust them manualy threw the backing plate or remove the drums and free up the adjusters. That will cure your problem.

Have your power brake cylinder checked by a Pontiac or Chevrolet dealer. You can check all brake pistons and slides in each caliper. Be sure your rotors are within thickness specifications as well as brake pads.

Yes you could receive a ticket for this. If you can test the wiring from further up in the trunk back to the bulbs for continuity you can figure out where their may be a break under the wire insulation and/or determine if the turn switch is defective. It is possible that the bulb ground connections are dirty, rusty and not conducting power.Loosen the ground connections and clean the contacts or just check continuity to ground with a circuit tester.

If you have no brake fluid leaking I would suspect the master cylinder is bad. replace it and bleed system properly.

Replace the master cylinder.

sounds like the master cylinder is leaking internally, take it to a garage and have them check for leaks and have them properly diagnose the problem, instead of just guessing what the problem could be.
