start putting him mainly on solids as he is still having five bottles a day plus three lots of solid foods. He has been on Solids since he was four months old so this is not a problem, he does though still want his milk.

He should be on breastmilk/formula until he is a year old.

How is he NOT mainly on solids by now? He must be starving. At that age my boy was having three meals a day with a half-cup of formula along with each meal, and one full cup of milk in the afternoon. You need to just feed him more, first, before the bottle, and then give him less milk, following the solids.

Your son is still a growing boy and should still drink about 5 bottles of formula or breast milk a day. it is good for him. once he gets a little older and his appetite for soild food increases his milk consumption will go down.maybe you can try 100% apple juice just water it down a little til he gets used to that. hope this helps you

Solid foods are mostly for fun and practice at this age. Formula or breastmilk should continue to make up most of his diet for the entire first year. I would not start cutting out bottles in favor of solids at such an early age. Remember how much the formula provides him in the way of nutrients and calories.....solids aren't a "complete food" in the same way breastmilk or formula is. AND he needs the fats for brain growth.

He should drink formula or breast milk till he's a year old. That's when he quits.

you can give him milk in a sippy cup with his meals. if he gets hungry, feed him again instead of giving him a milk bottle.
