What would be a good job to move to another country for?

I'm writing a story about an old irish guy and he moves to america for his job. What would be a such a good job to make him move?

Well my first instinct is something to do with teaching (a professorship) or perhaps he's a businessman managing overseas assets for a company--Irish Spring Soap. LOL Make sure the job your give him matches his personality so it makes sense unless you are going to have him unhappy with his job! Oh the drama. Of course there are a lot of gorgeous Irish actors too!
