I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and I am taking metiformin for it. My periods have been regular for the past 2 months, and both months started on the 14th and here it is the 21st and still no period. Does anyone think I could really be pregnant?

None of us can really tell you if you are or if you are not pregnant. your best bet if you have already taken a home pregnancy test to just wait it out a couple of more days to see if maybe stress or other factors have caused your period to be late and take another test. If that one is still negative and you still haven't started you should go speak with your doctor so that they can find out what the problem is as to why you haven't started yet. Best of luck to you.

home pregnancy tests are not always accurate. If you are usually not regular and have only been regular for the past two months....i wouldnt take this thirt month being late as proof of being pregnant. A blood test from the dr. is accurate.

Yes, you can be pregnant even if your test says you aren't. One week isn't that long to be late though. I'd wait another week and then try another test if you haven't started. If you're worried about being pregnant and taking the metformin, you should make an appointment with your doctor.

I would suggest that you call your gyno in the morning. You could be or could not be, but since you are on medication and late, your best bet would be to contact a professional. The doctor could do a simple blood test to find out. Call the doctor especially since you are on a medication.

It's possable. People get false negatives and positive tests all the time. I'd wait a week and try again. Good Luck.

It may just be a result of the meds you are taking sweety as they take time to "kick in".......Having no period for awhile is natural when changing meds and such, but to be safe....if you miss your next period...buy the at home pregnancy theremometer and it will tell you...Do you want to be?..Are you healthy?..........Stress can cause periods to cease as well darlin...that's why I ask you what I do........Good luck either way darlin
