Thin them out with breastmilk or formula. Gradually add less and less each day to make them thicker. This will ease him into solids.

He only drinks water??!! Is he growing? Does he drink formula too? You can make a baby eat, you know, you plug their nose till they open their mouth. You put the food in. If they spit, you give their nose a good pinch to teach them not to do that. If theyrefuse to swallow, you make them wash down the food with a sip of formula, water, or juice from a cup or bottle, whatever works. Soon he will get the idea and start eating willingly.

Don't worry about it.
At that age, feed them whatever baby food they will eat.
If he doesn't like the cereal, try another brand/variety.
I recommend Earth's Best brand.
Both my kids liked the sweet potato/yams and green beans.
You have to buy a little of everything to find out what they like.

What i could do and that i did for somewhat grow to be puree what you're eating and feed on your baby. I did it for somewhat cuz i had a simialr subject, mine wouldnt consume something yet point 2 ingredients and grow to be no longer too sturdy with the entire point 3 nutrition with the chunks. when I pureed the ingredients I ate she look to do greater powerful. yet mine additionally ate cherrios and issues. consistent with danger you're able to desire to get a docs assessment to work out if consistent with danger she has a swallowing subject of if its stictly a texture element. and have you ever tried the gerber nutrition nonetheless? If shes eating that carry on with that for somewhat till you may get her to consume greater sturdy...supply her the solids first then if she doest consume them attempt the gerber

You shouldn't be giving him water. Get him back on his formula (or breastmilk) and hold off on solids for about a week and try again.

Maybe he just isn't ready for solid foods yet. Give it a couple of weeks and try again. Solid foods are mostly for fun and practice at this age anyway.

I'd check with his doctor. Have you tried rice cereal in a formula bottle?
