I have a vinyl pool, the one where you inflate the ring and fill the pool with water and the wall rises. This summer I will be living at a home without grass for my pool to be set up. I will have a large asphalt drive way where I can set up the pool. Question is, because asphalt is hot, would it be a bad idea to put the pool on the asphalt. Maybe I could put outdoor carpeting under it. Would that work? Any suggestions?

Some i/o carpeting under and around your vinyl pool seems like a good idea. It might be worth thinking about laying down an i/o carpet runner from the house to the pool, as well...asphalt gets pretty hot on the feet! Good Luck!

Yes anything under the vinyl that prevent's it from rubbing on asphalt to prevent hole's will work.Sand's best but would look like s--- when trhe ppol's gone alot of work to remove sand,so just a padding will work.

put a good layer of sand underneath the pool, not only do you need it to level the pool but you will want it to keep from poking holes in the pool as well. Heat should not be an issue.
