Hmmm.... all the solutions I like are too much Science Fiction. I particularly like the idea from "The Day The Earth Stood Still", in which a race of super powerful robots are given the task of preventing any violence. Any country that starts a war is automatically pulverized by the robots. The result: no wars.
I also like the old fashioned, common sense approach espoused by the character "Red" on "That 70's Show". He cited the Soviet style of punishment:
First offense: two years in Siberia
Second offense: ten years in Siberia
....... there are no triple offenders!!

i know it sounds simple and there will be lots to make fun of me.. but maybe we could all try a little prayer.. to whatever God or being we believe in. And maybe we could just try getting along.. starting right in our own family, with that annoying mother in law.. or i our town, with our bothersome neighbour... in our country.. really, really, listen to your politicians and hold them to their promises. To often we vote them in and then let them do whatever they want.. it is time to be heard.
