I am 14, I have a passport, I am an American citizen, (by birth), I have been once before, I am going primarily to England, but my father, who hasn't spoken with me in 2 years, or paid child support in 2 months, will try to stop me, he won't let my step dad adopt, and frankly I hate the bastard, he's a crack head, so can I go without his permission, or do i have to have it, or what can I do to go? I have a kick @ss attorney, he can't afford one, so money isn't the issue.

He bum can't stop you. After you became 13 you had a right to choose who to live with right? I'm glad you get along with your step-dad. I am one. Have a safe trip.

For flying the unaccomapnied minor rule is 12. So as long as you are over 12 you can fly where you want without being questioned. At 16 you are a legal adult in most other countires, so you will not be questioned upon entry most likely. In most US states Your parents however sill have the right treat you as a runaway if they want to. So if they filed for a missing or runaway child report you could find yourself in a sticky situatuion. Some other countries have set up what they call child checkpoints. This does not allpy to a 16 year old traveling alone though. When one parent brings a minor to another country they must have a letter from the other saying it is ok, a to avoid any kind of kidnapping situation. This does not apply to you though.
