white trash is usually use to describe a group of people who are without social skills, or unskilled with their hygene, or living is squallar.... it has never been used to describe an entire ethnic group. The Jacksons are not to different for any of us... they just have the money most of us wish we had.....

It is potentially racist. It is certainly classist.
Why no outcry? We are talking about Big Brother. Racist, homophobic, and sexist things said are the backbone of Big Brother as a show.
Of course, since the Jackson family themselves are such a model of sophistication and taste, there is an ironic amusement to the whole thing...

It IS a racist term, just calling someone trash is fair enough, but white trash is culture specific, and if he said that (I didn't see it personally) he shouldn't have gotten away with it! I think minority groups get away with comments like that more because of history and some white people feel guilty, so they let them pass.. but I do agree it isnt fair.

i feel it is the same thing as a white person saying n***er to a black person or about black people.But blacks and other minorities get away with racism against whites all the time. thats why this country (USA) will never really be peaceful and equal racially because no one dares speak out against black and minority racism against white people for fear of being called racist, its a never ending circle and whites will never win respect against this indignity, whens the last time you heard Jesse Jackson talking about HIS peoples and HIS OWN personal racism? remember Jesse Jackson calling New York "Hymie Town" because of its big Jewish population? he never had the decency to acknowledge his own bigotry, cop a plea that he was "working on it" at least ala Mel Gibson and never apologized. not one person of ANY RACE had the b a l l s to call him on it, see what I mean? whites get no respect and ITS just as wrong as calling a black person a n****r, or a Hispanic a s**c. don't you think?

I know exactly what you mean. If a white person says something to a person of ethinic background they are called a racist but if its the other way round nothing is said. I have had enough of people shouting the racist act just because things dont go there way.
