I am currently in the Mock Trial team, and am trying to find some example opening statements to see what they sound like, their purpose, and overall the theme they portray. I need actual opening statements, not outlines or any such material.

Thanks.

Just talk about the situation at hand a little bit but not too much, then present yourself and tell the people who your fighting for. You should just watch the "Exorcism of Emily Rose". That has a great opening statement for a lawyer. Or "The Shaggy Dog". Both good example of lawyers making opening statements. Technically you do whatever you want in the end.
