I think Prog is mostly a misunderstood music genre. It is by far the most inspiring and diversified art form. The stereotypes of 20min guitar solos and drum fills are largely overstated as the music covers such a large variety of distinctive musical styles. The musicianship is always excellent as the format gives creative freedom to Bands. Please check out 'The Prog-Archives' (www.progarchives.com) on the net. They have 13,000 mp3 streams to listen to from bands all over the world..from 1960's to the present day. It will blow your mind!

I do. However, it seems to be music that musicians tend to like more than the average listener. Maybe because musicians can respect more of what's going on. Just like most music major's tend to like jazz, because they can appreciate the theory better than the average listener.

The www.progarchives.com is an excellent repository and has turned me on to some bands I didn't know existed.
