Like in most genres there is good and bad country music and, in the current era, most of the good stuff resides somewhat outside of the mainstream. Some of my all-time favorites records were made by people such as Hank Williams, Townes Van Zandt, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash.

At first I was like "Sorry I'm not from this country" but I learned to like it OK. The lyrics are sweet and touching, talk about good values and family a lot. It is not my favorite genre but I don't hate it anymore. It is a nice alternative to a lot of stupid songs out there on the charts.

I don't like all country music. I love Tim McGraw though. He is so sexy and his songs range from life stories, funny takes on things, and some beautiful love songs.

those shrill whiny female voices make my dog howl, the twangy
music makes me think of the radio in the barn, permanently dialed into WAOP and my dad making us clean up after the cows.
Really isn't Country Music an oxymoron?

i like it cause there's storys in it and the people dress right {not that theres anything wrong with the way the rest dress}.
i think other people don't like it cause it's not popular or cool cause take a band like fall out boy they have like millions of fans, but in a year or two they'll just be a memory cause somebody new will come in.
