I'm all about a new stadium. The biggest issue will be the lack of a retractable roof. Had the state approved the plan earlier on there would be a roof for roughly the same cost. Every year the state waited to approve the deal the cost continued to rise and things had to be eliminated from the plans.
As far as the sun goes, that's part of playing ball outside. I think it will be great to have baseball outside, it'll definitely be better for both the fans and the players. The Metrodome is an awful stadium for baseball and always has been.
I'm pumped the team finally got it approved and I'm hoping that come opening day 2010 I'll be sitting in the stands soaking it all in.

Well then that means every outdoor stadium is a bad idea, no?
If you have ever been to the Metrodome, you would know why we need a new stadium because it is a piece of trash inside. Thousands of Minnesota citizans have been injured attending the Metrodome games because of broken seats, and slippery old stairs, and broken fences that are suppose to be protecting people from a 15 feet drop.
Bad idea? I dont think so.
And about the sun in your eyes? Hello! This is baseball! People love the sun in there eyes! If you haven't been in the Metrodome, the Dome Lights are ten times worst than the sun! Be real here!

Choro-Kun's right.
You clearly have not been to the Metrodome, an if you have, then you clearly have a bad taste in stadiums because the Dome sucks! Every Baseball fan, every Twins fan would tell you that.
How on earth can you think it's a bad idea? Are you on drugs!?!??!?!
Forget the sun in your eyes! Wear some sun glasses, thats why they are made! Or better idea, try not to look up all the time!
The Dome lights were/are one hundred times worst than the sun.

i think of it is going to likely be an incredible park. Baseball belongs exterior, no count the place you reside. in case you ask each and every of the Twins followers that stay interior the section, majority regulations and say they desire exterior baseball..the way it replaced into earlier the Metrodome, while they performed in Bloomington, in Met Stadium exterior interior the climate. all people that needs to visual reveal unit baseball in a retractable roofed stadium, or in a dome, is a pansy and might't look after slightly rain, chilly or snow. EDIT- fee ticket expenses isn't sky extreme. The Twins have constantly had the superb fee ticket expenses in all of baseball.

Wow, your stupid. Don't you know that the Metrodome is a huge dump?
The Twins deserve every inch of the new stadium. And the sun in your eyes, NO ONE SAID YOU HAD TO BE THERE!

don't worry about the sun in your eyes. Since nobody was attending the Twins games even when they were a playoff team I doubt anyone will show up at the new Stadium. Hope they like playing to half empty stadiums.
