I would return it if I possibly could. It's not mine nor would I want any kind of reward other than a thank you. I don't need to be rewarded for doing the right thing. The golden rule comes into play here. If I tried to keep it, I would feel extremely guilty for every penny I spent. I returned $150,000 that a businessman dropped on the way out of the bank. I've never regretted it. I would not want that next to my name in God's book.

Honesty is the best policy. One must believe in hard earned money. We have no right to keep the lost money for our personal use. I will try to trace the owner and hand over the money to him. The other alternative is to report to police.

i wouldn't return it. i could use the dough. Plus, if someone is stupid enought to lose $50K, they don't deserve it back. As expensive of a lesson it is, i bet they wouldn't lose money again.

I would keep it , believing if it was me that had lost it no one would try to find me or care that I lost 50k ,and the Police would keep it if I asked them for help finding who had lost it . even if they can't find who owns it ,they would be keeping it telling me I can't have it back. saying "its not yours so you are not getting it back , Go away".
