West Ham are having a terrible season. We seen to have reverted back to the West Ham of a few years ago, in that if we have ever been ahead in a game, we have thrown it away. Our performance against Newcastle epitomises that. All the way through I was sat there thinking "Surely we can't get our first away win of the season, especially not against a strong side like Newcastle", and as always, West Ham proved me right. If we want to stay up we need to get back the fighting spirit that we had last year, and stop trying to buy our way to success.

West Ham I think will make it, at the expense of Wigan. They have made a few signings and have the most depth.
Charlton when I have seen them look like they have given up. Theres no real partner to Darren Bent, and their defense is poor. Thats not to say Pardew cannot help them, because they could easily win a few. But I think its unlikely.

Charlton = I don't think so. They don't really seem to know what they are doing and some of the summer signings have been poor. Their best chances are Pardew's know-how and Darren Bent's effort.
West Ham = possibly because they have spending power and have brought in some quality players, but will the rot be too deeply entrenched already?

I think both have a chance & both have quality managers.
Wigan are on a really really bad run. It's not the time of the season to lose 8 games on the trot. However, with the fixtures left I think they will survive.
Sheffield Utd have won one out of last 7 games. Next five away games Blackburn Liveprool Chelsea Bolton & Man Utd. Would be very surprised if they stay up.

Charlton to stay up. I personally don't think Alan Pardew is to blame for WHU's predicament. He was undermined totally by their board with the two Argie signings for one thing. I like the bloke, he's honest, loyal, intelligent and given a fair crack of the whip at Charlton I think he'll keep them up.
