a memory stick is what u use to determine how much ram u have or want to buy
first off..turn all power to pc OFF b4 installing ram
if it is a desktop...u pretty much unscrew the lscrews on back of pc..take off cover...once u know do that u will see the motherboard (that is what all the wires are connected to)
u will see 1 or 2 memory sticks
they are about 6 inches long and a very thin
the best thing to do is take one out and take it to the store with u so they can compare then and make sure u get correct one
b4 u install more ram....ask urself this?
how much ram do i have?
how much ram can my pc handle?
u can get ram at pretty much all pc shops
best buy
compusa
microcenter
or whatever is in ur neighborhood
once u find out what kinda ram u need and have bought it....make sure u dont force it in (if u are installing urself)
but u have to make sure each side is securely locked in place
screw panels back on
power up
u should be good to go
