Go to confession to have a priest absolve you of your sins? I'm not very religious, but that's the best I can think of.

If there was another Christian involved, you may need to ask that person for forgiveness. Your minister, pastor or priest may be able to help with emotional healing.

Often it is good to speak to a person of the same gender - rather than a minister who is not. A trusted older Christian person who is not a gossip or tattletale. Now, you could ask the pastor who that might be.

Healing takes ages in some cases. And professional help could be needed. Physical healing can take a long time too, but meds and therapy are available. We do not have a book on how to heal emotionally, except the precepts of the Christian faith as set out in the Bible. Which I totally believe. Matthew 18 may be of help.

If you haven't already ask Jesus to forgive you. Accept the forgiveness while realizing everyone makes mistakes. Learn from that error and keep living the faith. Forgive yourself! God bless.

Our minister likes to say, "Our God is the God of do-overs." As forgiveness, then make the right choice next time. Blessings!
