My 2 month old sometimes sleeps more than 4 hours during the day. During the night, he only sleeps 6 hours the first stretch and then 3 or 4 the next. He is breastfed, but I thought he would sleep more. I try to keep him up until 9 or 10pm but he conks out around 7 or 8 lately. If I put him to bed at 8 or 9 he wakes up at 2 or 3, then again at 5 or 6. Is this normal?

Be thankful, sounds like a normal young baby. Be thrilled he sleeps as much as he does. He's too young to do more than 6 hours. Enjoy

Breastfed babies sleep less, not more than their bottlefed counterparts. The reason for this is because breastmilk breaks down and is processed faster than formula. He will sleep as much as he can physically handle, waking when he is hungry. Trust me, you are lucky to have a 6 hour stretch at night, with my little one, I am lucky to get 4.....

very normal. you're luck y that he sleeps for a 6 hour stretch during the night. most breastfed babies wake up about every 3 hours to be fed. breast milk is more easily and completely digested than formula, so they get hungry faster.

while my little female replaced into 2 months she does no longer nap in her Moses basket duringthe day. I had to feed her to sleep and then carry her. From approximately 3 months she began going for naps in her cot to get her used to the room for while she went in there at night time too I had to word my daughters sleepy signs and indicators and then placed her down in her cot wide awake. i wouldn't in any respect her enable cry it out. i might pat her chest and sssshhhh her and then sing a lullaby. If she replaced into relatively crying i might %. her up for a cuddle then whn calm (yet nevertheless wide awake) i might placed her backpedal and repeat Now at 4 a million/2 months i can placed her down after being wide awake 3 hours. She might have slightly ***** yet after 5 minutes she'll be asleep. She does not have a dummy yet has stumbled on her thumb to suck if she gets upset
