Two questions:
1) Who am I?
2) Why am I here?
1. I am eternal spirit soul. I have had many changing bodies, but I am not the body; I am "atma" or soul and unchanging
2. I exist to love God and serve HIm and love and serve His minute parts (the other individual spirit souls)
When you see yourself as eternal soul, your fears and attachments go away. You understand that all our troubles and pains (and material pleasures as well) are temporary. You can experience them, but you do not need to hang unto them. Nothing can actually harm you.
When you re-establish your relationship with God, you become filled with actual joy (ananda-- or, bliss) Your life becomes serene and centered in love--- love of God, and love of His creation, including people, animals, etc.
This makes sense--

The question is Who am I? We are not this body, IE, race, color, Nationality, religion, senses, intellect, job, etc. WE are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. This world is illusion (Maya ) and is temporary and full of misery. We have to reconnect with our Maker to actually understand actual Truth. The quickest way is to chant the Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from suffering and illusion) go to harekrishntemple.c for all details, Read Bhagavad Gita As it is by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada which gives the purpose and meaning to human life.

life will probably never make sense to anyone, but you know what? if you can find a way to be happy and content, then why even wonder? all things, ALLL THINGS, happen for a reason, we may never know why, but if you sit down and think hard you can usually link some things together and appeciate even the bad things that happened to you, because in the long run, it makes you stronger, we fall to learn how to pick ourselves back up, good luck in your life venture and may god bless you!

.. In my opinion the question you need to ask yourself is this; ...."Am I willing to accept the challenge that is the Adventure of Life?" ........... This is the challenge of moving into the "Unknown",.. for that is the adventure that life is. ... Life is a constant journey from the Known,.. into the Un-known. .... and the further you venture into the Un-known,... (which ultimately exists right within you),... the closer you will come to Knowing who you are in Truth. ............ That is the ultimate purpose of this life. ..... and those who have realised this truth,.. are those who are fully engaged in the purposeful adventure that this life IS.
When you realise this truth,.. you will begin to discover the incredible richness and fullness that is found in each and every moment that IS,.... but which in your present state of being you deny yourself from experiencing.

There isn't one; that's the whole point of life: to give us the answer and we never realize it because we're too busy looking for the question!
Live how you want, not how you think you should.

Here's the question:
How am I helping my fellow man?
If you can answer that question in abundance, then you will be able to make sense of why you're here.
