The Irish as well as many other folk not native to the USA were a great source of cheap labor in earlier times . As a result, many were mistreated and abused this led to a common belief that they were in fact subnormal.....far from it many of them came from farms with little to show but the clothing on their backs when they arrived here, and dont forget, they were subject of England as were we, just one of the colonies, their problem they were closer to the mother country, so it was only a short boat-ride to rob, rape, pillage, and burn, and still be home for supper. Some of the finest minds in the fields of writing . G.B.Shaw and the like . Irelands finest expoprt is people and most of them come here and to the U.K..
