If you are nauseous, anything with Ginger should help settle your stomach. Depending on why you are vomiting, if its a virus, then you just need to try to replace the electrolytes you are losing. Ginger to settle, water to hydrate. Sprite, 7up or any Lemon Lime Soda is ok, but stay away from anything with caffeine or dark coloring like Coke or Pepsi. You can drink something like Gatorade or Powerade, but in moderation. If you drink too much you can raise your electolytes too high. Water has everything you will need and minus the sugar. Saltines or soda crackers can help to put something in your stomach and not be so harsh if you continue to vomit. Try to keep clear liquids like what was mentioned or chicken broth. If you have ramen noodles, boil some water and just dissolve the seasoning packet.
The main thing is to try to keep hydrated. Soda's and sports drinks have additional salt in them that will add to the dehydration. They are ok in moderation, but the main thing is to keep drinking water. If you have a fever over 101 for 24 hrs, vomit for more than 24 hrs or it is projectile, you need to page your doctor or head to the ER.
Another thing that works for some people is Emetrol. Its a liquid medication that is basically like cherry syrup, but has a high sugar content. Works for some, but if you keep throwing up after you take it, make sure you're close to a trash can or toilet because it can stain.

If you're vomiting a lot you could dehydrate, so drink water to prevent that.
Once your stomach has settled a little cola has proven to be good for an upset stomach. Don't know why that is, but it works really well.
Also, be sure to get enough salt, to replace what you've lost.

Water, becuase when you are throwing up everything you have eaten or drank, you lose all of the liquid in your stomach. Without those fluids, you start to feel worse, fatigue & dry-heaves (throwing up without anything coming up).

Water. But if it's caused by an upset stomach, gingerale or sprite may also help.

let your tummy settle before you try drinking anything. Water and saltines are your best bet.
