i have an eye project and im stuck on how the eye protects it self and how to protect it ... any help would be of much help even point form.

One more thing. Lacrimal gland at the lateral corners of the eye socket secrete tears that flow across the eye. Tears have two functions:

1. Lubricates the eye, prevents it from drying to the point of discomfort.

2. Contains an antimicrobial agent - lysozyme.

Also, the conjunctiva protects the eye. This is the outer most layer...the one that get all red when you have pink eye. The eye lids and lashes also add a physical barrier when needed. How to protect your eye? That's easy...wear protective eye wear for sports and hobbies or work, keep your fingers out of your eyes (germ transmission) and get them checked by a professional once in a while.

Eye is naturally well protected as they are located in the sockets,eyelids do protect the eye,besides this the iris movement also protect from direct sunlight.

the eyes are protected by the eye sockets, the eyelids and the tear film. the actual eye itself is protected by the outer fibrous white layer called the sclera (thats the white part of the eye.)
